It was 4 months and 14 days ago when we launched our Facebook page and we are ecstatic that yesterday we reached a 1000 followers and are still going strong! This seemingly small milestone is huge for us and we extremely appreciate your enthusiasm, support and engagement for our projects, events and vision!
We at Sunium endeavour to continue working on mapping and resolving governance issues in the domains of internet governance, energy & sustainability, the EU Neighbourhood and conflict resolution, and teach how systems thinking can change the manner in which we approach problem solving. Our startup aims to facilitate participatory democracy through our methods and software and bring different stakeholders together to find solutions to global interdisciplinary and multicultural problems. We want to be a pro-active, helpful and transparent change agent but we are not there yet! But we will try harder, and this milestone gives us the strength and encouragement to continue and come up with better and more engaging plans for the people that would like to see an open and informed society and we wouldn’t have been able to get here without your engagement!
This is why we want to share with you what liking our Facebook page has allowed us to do.
In the last year, the Sunium community rallied and shared our posts and our page with your colleagues, friends and family. This lead to 23 conversations with individuals from a variety of international organisations and companies who said that they were interested in our work and wanted to learn more about what we were doing and see if we could find synergies to further collaborate; 4 invitations for Sunium to speak at events in 2018, and already 5 invitations to speak in 2019; 9 discussions about potential partnerships; 3 joint grant applications in 2018 and planning 7 joint grant applications for 2019.
And we are talking only about the people who have found us through Facebook thanks to you! So what is next? We will soon be announcing our 2019 Action Plan in which builds on what we did in 2018 and presents our thoughts for the upcoming year. We will also be celebrating our one year anniversary so what exciting plans will we make for that?
We hope that you will continue sharing our story on Facebook and LinkedIn but also engage with us on Twitter.
Please share our story in your circles! We are looking for change makers who want to build with us an open and informed society, and keen students who want to know more about systems thinking and how we can change the political landscape through multistakeholderism. We are always happy to meet and learn from other companies, organisations and institutions! So come and spend time with us!
Thank you all so much for being part of our story. No matter where in the world you are, we look forward to meeting you!
With our best wishes,
Constantin & Nadia
